40 creatives, 9 rambert mentors, 37 studio hours, 1 day to tech, dress and perform 1 woman's incredible life.
Dame Marie Rambert, a pioneer of British Dance and founder of Rambert inspired the production Vintage Rambert. With access to the archive and her story, 16 performers and 8 composers worked with writers, musicians, costume designers, lighting designer, filmmakers, visual artist, photographer and production team to create a site-specific dance theatre piece at Canada Water Cultural Space, August 2013. We all met on the monday and performed on the saturday.
160 under 25's applied and 40 were offered a place.
It could have all gone horribly wrong. It didnt.
